How do I register to vote/How do I make sure I'm registered to vote?
You can contact the Smith County Elections office to register to vote and ask about your voter registration status HERE. If you live in another county then you will need to contact your respective county Elections office.
Where can I vote at?
Smith County residents may vote at ANY of the polling locations listed on the Smith County Elections website HERE.
Do I have to be a Democrat/Republican to run for local office?
Absolutely not. Smith County Municipal (local) Elections are NON-PARTISAN, which means candidates are not allowed to openly run as a Democrat/Republican/Independent etc. Your political ideology should not be a factor when considering whether to run for local office.
