Run for Office

Are you interested in running for office? Not sure where to start? We've got you covered! Choosing to run for office can be a big decision, but local community members like yourself make the best leaders to represent the communities they live in. Whether you've toyed with the idea of running for quite some time or you just want to give it a try, we're here to help guide you.

Ask yourself these questions:

Why do you want to run? (Do you think City Council needs more financial transparency? Perhaps you're a parent and believe that your child's school deserves a safer playground or new administration)

How will you raise money? (Running a campaign does cost money, those yardsigns aren't free. Local campaigns usually don't break the bank, but you'll need things like: a website or social media presence, yardsigns, lit (literature you can hand out to people to remind them to vote for you) + merch (buttons, hats, t-shirts etc.)

Who will help you run your  campaign? (Local campaigns typically only have 1 staffer, so volunteer power goes a long way. While some candidates run their entire campaign themselves. Many candidates still have everyday lives which includes full time jobs, parental duties, a social life, church, sporting events + more)
